Area and perimeter

We were reviewing about perimeter and area in class. Finding the perimeter of a polygon you would have to measure all the sides and add all the measurments up. For finding the area of a polygon you would only have to measure the length and width after that you multiply lenghth times width. So for perimeter you have to measure all the sides and add the measurments up and for area you have to measure lenghth and the width and mutiply the measurments.

Perimeter

Well, Today in class are journal entry is going to explain how to find the area of a triangle.
Okay, First you measure the base of the triangle and then you measure the height when measuring height you measure straight up, after this you multiply the the two measurements(base&height) then you divide by two because you are cutting the parallelogram in two and you will then get your answer.

Perimeter

In class today we did a perimeter assignment the question was: The perimeter of a triangle is 16cm. What is the missing numbers to the perimeter. I know how to get this answer when converting cm into mm multiply by ten and when converting mm into cm divide by ten.

Perimeter

In math today, our question we had to answer, on here was : Which method do you prefer? Explain why. There were a couple of different ways . I think the easiest way for me was, P= ( 2 times length) + ( 2 times width) 46 = ( 2 times 16) + ( 2 times width). I think this way was the easiest because it is faster and you don't have to add up every single side of the shapes primeter.

My Goals for Perimeter

My goals for the math lesson perimeter is to get a good mark on all my test, listen to my teacher, and review for all the test.

Perimeter

Today in our homework assignment, we had My Journal. The question that we had been givin was: What have you learned about finding the perimeters of polygons? Well I have learned that if all of the sides of a polygon are the same, you can go one side of the polygon times another side. So an example of this would be 6cm times 6cm = 36cm.You don't have to add all sides you can just times the number. I think a good thing to know for perimeter is to know your multaplacation skills.
